If I have to wait in Vidyarthi Bavan for that piece of idly I would rather chose to come to the “Brahmins Thatte Idly.” The food is lot better here. Most importantly, they serve with smiling face.
The internet says Bidadi is popular for Thatte idly’ s. Well, if you are done with Bidadi Thatte idly, consider visiting this humble restaurant – the Brahmins Thatte Idly.
Brahmins Thatte Idli, Rajajinagar, Bengaluru
We came here at about 8 a.m. while on our road trip to Agumbe and ordered for three varieties of food – the Thatte idly, puliyogare and uppittu. The super soft Thatte idly perfectly went well with the coconut chutney and sambar of course. The only thing missing was butter and that does not matter to me much. The puliyogare (tamarind rice) and uppittu (upma) was just awesome.
The Brahmins Thatte Idly in Rajajinagar is a corner restaurant clearly visible from all corners of the main road. It is not a big restaurant, just a small one with little space for customers to stand and eat. The space is not messy and they have maintained the neatness.
I found parking near the service road, a few steps from the restaurant. Luckily, my Swift car was there where I parked which is not usually the case in cities like Bengaluru.
